The SPEARS Pro Late Model Series and Sigma Performance Services proudly announce a unique and exciting program to shine the national spotlight on drivers age 20 and younger in the SPEARS (SRL) Pro Late Model Series.
The ‘Sigma Performance Services Young Gun’s Championship’ will be a championship within the 2021 SPEARS Pro Late Model Series, where the top driver age 20 and under (age as of January 1, 2021) in the final championship standings will be awarded the opportunity to drive a Sigma Performance Services prepared Super Late Model in a SPEARS Southwest Tour Series event at Irwindale Speedway (spring/summer 2022).
The car, the crew, and all associate expenses to compete at the 2022 SPEARS Southwest Tour Series event will be covered by Sigma Performance Services, including a private test day prior to the race.
“Joe Farre’ and Preston Peltier of Sigma Performance Services have brought together this program that will be a career highlight for a young driver,” stated the SRL’s Brian Olsen. “We already greatly appreciate Sigma Performance Services support of the SPEARS Pro Late Model Series in 2021, but this Young Guns Championship is over the top. We look forward to seeing one of our young Pro Late Model drivers get the opportunity to compete in the SPEARS Southwest Tour Series with one of our top Super Late Model teams.”
MAVTV and SPEARS Racing.TV will provide coverage of the 2021 SPEARS Pro Late Model Series and will do a feature story on the winner of the 2021 ‘Sigma Performance Services Young Guns Championship’ winner.
The SPEARS Pro Late Model Series will kick off its 2021 season at Irwindale Speedway on February 6th with the $15,000 to win “All-Star Showdown Pro Late Model 150”, which will be nationally televised by MAVTV, and livestreamed by SPEARSRacing.TV.
