Bakersfield, CA – After a very successful inaugural season in 2021, SIGMA Performance Service will return as the presenting sponsor of the SPEARS (SRL) Pro Late Model Series. The “SPEARS Pro Late Model Series presented by Sigma Performance Services” will compete in a minimum of 11 races in 2022, with a new Frequent Flyer program that will pay eligible drivers a minimum $400 to start.
The new Frequent Flyer program for the SPEARS SRL Pro Late Model Series will be directly supported by SPS. For 2022, once a driver runs two consecutive races, they will receive a minimum of $400 to start. They will receive that minimum start money until they miss a race. Once they run two consecutive races again, they will be back on the program.
For 2022, SpearsRacing.TV will continue to livestream all PLM races, along with national television coverage by MAVTV. The winner’s share for each event will be a minimum of $2,500 with marquee events being announced at a later date. These marquee events will see an increased winner’s purse.
“We can’t thank Joe (Farre’) and SIGMA Performance Services for all of their support. They were vital in getting this series off the ground and after a great 2021, we’re really excited about what 2022 holds. Sixty-nine Pro Late Model drivers took the green flag last season in the SRL and with the new Frequent Flyer program paying a minimum of $400 to start, those numbers are only going to increase.” commented the SRL’s Brian Olsen.
The SPEARS Pro Late Model Series presented by Sigma Performance Services is the basic Pro Late Model rules established throughout the California, with the series engine rules for each race following whatever the local track engine rules are for the division.
“We, along with the SRL, believe that racer’s need a place to practice, learn and build, while maintaining a fair and level competition environment, and providing a fiscally responsible car and rule package that allows more teams to participate, plan and race on a reasonable budget. SPS strongly believes in this series, and our partners like the SRL, that we can build a stronger and more inclusive race environment that will allow more teams to participate, compete, and build in this exciting new series. We are proud to be a part of the SRL 2022 Pro Late Model Series.” Stated SPS’ Owner and Founder Joe Farre’.
In 2022, the “SPEARS Pro Late Model Series presented by Sigma Performance Services” will join the SRL’s other two series, the SPEARS Southwest Tour Series and Spears Manufacturing Modified Series presented by Lucas Oil at host racetracks, All-American Speedway, Kern County Raceway, Stockton Speedway, Irwindale Speedway and The Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. All three series are eligible for drivers 14 years old and older.
